Gypsy Oasis Dance Troupe, a.k.a. Wenches of East Wake, was formed in 2005 in Wake Forest by students of Middle Eastern dance offered by the Parks and Recreation Department of the Town of Wake Forest, with their instructor, Ehediya.  Ehediya has been performing since the fall of 1981 when she became a member of the Oasis Tapestry Middle Eastern Dance Troupe in Fayetteville, NC.  She became Director of that troupe in 1985.  The troupe finally disbanded in 1999 when Ehediya moved to Wake Forest.  In Fayetteville she taught the dance from 1983 until early 1999.  She has been teaching in Wake Forest since 2000.
